Comedian Ricky Carmona was born and raised in Chicago. He's been performing since high school and began his comedy career at the renowned Chicago improv institution iO Theater. At iO he studied under the likes of legendary improv guru Del Close, Colbert Report writer Peter Guinn, and Charna Halpern. Ricky went on to co-found Salsation!, Chicago's only all-Latino sketch comedy improv troupe, before making his transition to stand-up comedy.

In the dynamic world of Chicago stand-up, Carmona has emerged as one of the most popular acts. He's charmed audiences at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the city, including Zanies and The Improv, and is also a regular host, feature, and headliner with Mikey O. Comedy Productions. Ricky is one of the seminal members and a favorite frequent performer at Chicago Underground Comedy.

Chicago's NewCity Magazine has praised Carmona's "High energy and free-wheeling, fearless delivery," describing him as "one of Chicago's best and brightest locals...unafraid to talk race and politics, he counteracts his edge with his unique style and affability."
